Delete My Data
PaletteReveal is built on a privacy-first architecture: we store almost nothing about you. This page tells you exactly what data lives where, and how to remove anything you'd like gone.
What data exists, and where

Your rights
If you're in the EU, UK, EEA, California, or another jurisdiction with data-protection legislation, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to processing
- Port your data to another service
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority (in Italy: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali)
How to request deletion
- Email [email protected] from the email address you used (or specify which email/order you want removed if it differs).
- Include the subject line "Data deletion request" so it gets prioritized.
- Tell us briefly what you'd like deleted: email correspondence, an order record, an account (when accounts are enabled), or all of the above.
- We respond within 30 days, usually within 2–3 business days.
You don't need to give a reason. We don't make you "verify your account" through pointless hoops. We just need to confirm the request comes from the right person — usually replying from the same email is enough.
What we cannot delete (and why)
- Stripe transaction records. If you bought a paid product, Stripe is legally required to retain the transaction for accounting and tax purposes (typically 7–10 years depending on jurisdiction). We can delete our copy and remove your account, but the underlying card-payment record stays with Stripe per their privacy policy.
- Server log retention window. Access logs (IP + user-agent for security) auto-delete after 30 days. We can delete a specific log entry on request, but we can't promise zero logs were ever written — they're created in real time.
- Cookies on Google's domain. If you've consented to AdSense personalization, the cookies set by Google live on Google's domains. We can't delete those for you — clear them via Google Ads Settings or by clearing your browser cookies.
Self-serve cleanup (no email needed)
You can do most of this yourself in 30 seconds, no email required:
- Reset the tool: open the tool, click the Reset button. All current samples and image previews are wiped from memory.
- Reload the page: any in-memory state is gone.
- Clear site data: in your browser, clear cookies and storage for
palettereveal.com. Removes your cookie-consent record and any preferences. - Revoke Google ad personalization: Google Ads Settings → opt out.
After those four steps, there's nothing left on your device or in our active systems related to your visit, except the 30-day server access log (which deletes itself).
If you have an account (future)
When user accounts are enabled (purchases, dashboard, saved palettes), this page will be expanded with self-serve "Delete my account" controls inside your account settings. For now, account-related deletion is handled by emailing [email protected].
